Farah Khan : Anti Modi

We all know India is a secular country and the biggest democracy in the world. So its quite obvious that with such a huge population there would be plenty of unique and different opinions and views on political issues and the best part is that each and everybody has got the right and has been given full freedom to voice their opinion in democracy.

Farah Khan Ali, the famous jewellery designer, the daughter of veteran actor Sanjay Khan and wife of famous "DJ Aqueel" along with Pooja Bedi, daughter of Kabir Bedi are among the few celebrities who voiced their opinion on current political drama of the country, the latest burning issue being Gujrat C.M Narendra Modi's 3 days ongoing fast in Ahmedabad.

 Farah Khan is openly opposing the Modi's philosophy and she even compared him to "Adolf Hitler". She tweeted- "

  "Hitler was a great administrator but his crimes against the jews were atrocious. He paid for it. Someday Modi will. Everything returns here."

Juhi Chawla : a new chat show host

After Karan Johar, Sajid Khan, Simi Garewal, Farah Khan, Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla is the new entrant to the list of celebrity chat show hosts. The actress will host a kiddie's chat-cum-fun show.

Juhi, who had earlier judged the third season of the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, will now be donning the hat of a chat show host for a show called Badmaash Company-Ek Shararat Hone Ko Hai on Colors. It's a chat show for kids.

The show will be on the lines of Say No Something To Anupam Uncle that was hosted by Anupam Kher. Juhi will be interacting with children on this show. The show will have various segments, one of which will include kids put in a particular situation and their reactions will be caught candid on camera.

The show will be aired on Colors in September.

Aarakshan in a new controversy

It seems like the path of the movie "Aarakshan" is facing more obstacles as the film is approaching its release day. Earlier this week the news of the spat between the financer and producer was in limelight as the Producer Sajid Nadiadwala's cheque worth 3.5 crores bounced. Now the latest hurdle in their way is "Mayawati" and "SC/ST community".


The Chairman of the SC/ST commission PL Punia got a pre-screening of Prakash Jha’s "Aarakshan" and sought to play super censor, saying there were objectionable dialogues. But the Censor Board chief Leela Samson was categorical and the movie will be released without any further cuts. The film releases this Friday.



Even as politicians battle to decide the content of the film, the Central board of film certification emboldened by the Bombay High Court's green signal on Tuesday made it clear that they call the shots.
"We have asked Central Board of film certification that keeping in view our observations, you must order for a comprehensive revision of the film," said Punia.

"We have approved, we can’t hold back the release of the film," said Leela Samson.

The strongest words for the political super censors came from the lead actor in the film Amitabh Bachchan and the director.

"I do believe this is happening because some people want to exploit the situation without even know or understanding what the film is about," said Amitabh Bachchan.

Prakash Jha said, "There are people saying I have made a film for reservation and some are saying it is anti-reservation. So the allegations will continue."

From its mahurat shot, 'Aarakshan' ramains cast in controversy from alleged anti-dalit dialogues and attacking commercialisation the film got a political twist just before the release. The build up has been good but for the final verdict however it is the box office that will decide this Friday.

Shah Rukh Khan is now all set to make the term 'Putting yourself into someone else's shoes' come true, in true sense of the word. Here's the deal - SRK's Red Chillies Idiot Box and UTV Stars (UTV's new channel) have come together with a show called 'Live My Life'.


The concept of the show is that a film actor will choose his or her craziest fan, who will be picked up from anywhere like schools, colleges or even social networking sites. This will be followed by the said celebrity star chalking out his plans for the day, including driving the fan in his/ her own car, working out at their gym, haircuts, photoshoots ... and hold your breath, even resting in the star's house! In short, the fan will be nothing short of the celebrity's shadow for a stipulated day.

News has it that the stars with whom the channels are in talks with include the likes of John Abraham, Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and others, but the only names that are confirmed are Sonakshi Sinha, Rani Mukerji and Anushka Sharma. Ranveer Singh denied his relationship with Anushka

Just last week Anushka denied dating Ranveer Singh, his co-star in BAND BAAJA BAARAAT and now LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL, on Simi Garewal's popular show 'Simi Selects India's Most Desirables' on Star World and this week's guest Ranveer Singh spoke about his co-star and supposed girl friend Anushka.

Kangana to be paired with Rana Daggubati

Post her stunning performance in Tanu Weds Manu, Kangna Ranaut has been creating waves in Bollywood. We have now learnt that the actress is all set to feature in a rom-com titled Kris And Suri.



















The film will feature Kangna opposite Rana Daggubati and is scheduled to go on floors this October. Directed by Rajshree Ojha (director of Aisha) Kris And Suri is being produced by Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd. The film will have a very international and urban vibe to it.

Confirming this, a source close to Kangna says, "Yes, Kangna will be doing Kris And Suri though its not very clear whether Rana is doing the film."

If Rana signs Kris And Suri, this will be the first time that the two will be paired together after missing out on Department and Dum Maaro Dum.

John Abraham fans are in for a treat as his next venture, officially titled, A Rose Movie Production, I, ME AUR MAIN will release in early 2012.

Presented by Reliance Entertainment, the film interestingly titled I ME AUR MAIN is produced by Shrishti Behl Arya and Goldie Behl and marks the directorial debut of Kapil Sharma, son of noted astronaut, Rakesh Sharma.

After working as 1st Assistant Director on several Indian and International films, Kapil Sharma is now directing this slice of life film about protagonist John Abraham and the women in his life.

Set against an urban backdrop I ME AUR MAIN also stars Chitrangada Singh, Prachi Desai, Zareena Wahab and 2 other female leads, details of which are being kept under wraps for now.

Kareena replaces Aishwarya in Heroine

All the speculations regarding UTV Motion Pictures and Madhur Bhandarkar's most ambitious film project Heroine finally come to an end as actress Kareena Kapoor agrees to step into the shoes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and play the lead role in Heroine.

Heroine has been facing obstacles since the beginning; first Kareena who was the actual choice for the role refused the film as she was not happy with the script and had date issues. Then Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was signed on for the film but after 10 days of shoot, she announced her pregnancy. There were talks of her getting replaced by Tabu or Priyanka Chopra. But no one was ready to step into Ash's shoes with the fear of offending the Bachchan family. Then there were rumors that Heroine was shelved.

But now ending all those speculations Kareena Kapoor confirmed that she will be playing the lead in Madhur Bhandarkar's much-talked about film Heroine. Considering that Madhur had written the script keeping Bebo in mind, he will now be a happy man. Kareena's dates, fee, etc are currently being worked out.

Bebo is surely going to be envied by all her contemporaries as she has just wrapped up the shoot for Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One, and is gearing up for her next release Bodyguard with Salman Khan.
